Not From A Novel

"...the first stage will execute a controlled reentry through Earth’s atmosphere, targeting touchdown on an autonomous spaceport drone ship approximately nine minutes after launch."

Yes, SpaceX has another ISS supply mission Tuesday -- and another first-stage recovery attempt.

Considering how close their last "failure"* got, I look forward to seeing it work.

* Only a "failure" in the sense that it didn't reach the final goal - a successful landing. For the first ever attempt at a safe powered vertical landing from orbit, the fact that it actually hovered mere meters above the platform and only failed at the final touchdown means it was a rousing success. Especially since, IIRC, they figured out pretty quickly what actually went wrong and how to (probably) fix it.

Had it on live yesterday while posting some grades to the LMS. Durn anvil clouds, anyway. :-)
