...It won't do any good.
Current plans call for me to drive to the Dayton Hamvention Friday and see as much as possible, driving back that evening. Then head out to Louisville with Tam Saturday morning and come back home that evening to relieve the house-sitter and take care of cats. Sunday, see how everyone feels.
This is a bit more of a challenge than it once was. Guess we'll see how it goes.

My art director is going to the Hamvention. I'd say to look for and say "Hi" to some dwarvey-looking guy wearing a backpack and a tall antenna mast, but I 'spect he's hardly unique.
Have fun. Mind you don't get sunburned.

Hope to see you guys in Lousiville,
we are heading down Saturday as well
Wish I could go to Dayton...
But I don't have any money for another radio anyway.

"My buddy will be at the Highland Games! You should say 'Hi!' to him. He'll be the bearded dude wearing a kilt..." ;)
You're a Ham too (in addition to all the other geeky stuff you do, not as in "I'm a ham and you are too.") :)
You work on warp drives all day long and then come home to play with (I'm assuming) smaller ones without all the fancy video options.
Maybe you could answer this question though. I was at the Indy track the other day and swore I heard morse code coming from one of the caterer people's handheld radio. Do the "beepers" share frequencies with the "talkers"?
Tam;
That's the one!

...I'm just back from Dayton and borrowed Tam's machine.
Morse on a HT? Sure; a lot of the repeaters ID using high-speed Morse code!
Not only am a ham, I have been one since Jr. High. My hamshack runs heavily to 1935 through late-50s gear.
Hey! We've been looking for you guys. Everyone wants to meet you!
Give me or someone else a call.
