Why is it that Alice Roosevelt's line, "If you haven't anything good to say about anyone, sit right next to me," is not better-known?
Why the hell isn't there a Hilton on the Moon already?
Why haven't I got my flying car yet?
Or the tiny power plant that sits in the back yard and runs the whole house for pennies a year?
But digital TV, that I'm stuck with getting no matter what. Oh, joy. Alice? Let's turn the miserable thing off and talk about people we don't like.

I thought that was Dorothy Parker!
my sediments prezactly.
"Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren’t lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live."
Dorothy Parker
H'mmm, Lemme hitta Wikipedia
“If you can’t say something good about someone sit right here by me.” Alice Roosevelt Longworth.
Dorothy Parker, dear thing, has become herself what she said of Oscar Wilde, that any witty epigram was automatically assumed to have originally been his.
In this instance, I'm not sure. Certainly Mrs. L was sufficiently taken with the line to have had it embroidered in a sofa pillow and was well known for acid wit. I do not find it in a hasty search through Dorothy Parker.
Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!
...My work computer says that whenever I log off...!
Did you know about the DTV converter coupon cards you can get in the mail..worth $40 towards a converter box?

I recommend the Insignia DTV converter box sold at Best Buy. I've bought some for me, my parents, and my aunt, all with their discount coupon cards.
Bonus feature: Causes angst among your friends who question why you just won't go buy a digital TV. Ha!
"Why haven't I got my flying car yet?"
The typical American driver can't keep their car in their own lane... and you want to give them another dimension to play with?
Roberta: You forgot about the Jetpacks.. We were promised Jetpacks! :)
Jerry: According to several reviews I've seen of the dozens of converter boxes on the market, the top choice of the easy to find(IE in any electronics store) is the Zenith DTT model, which is actually made by LG. It clearly performed better than almost all other boxes in easy to use menus, number of channels it pulls in, and picture quality.
