Sick, sick, sick and I don't mean possibly.
All this past long weekend, I was fighting copious sinus drainage and mild sore throats every morning. "Allergies," thunk I, and took OTC allergy meds. It helped, too.
Woke up this morning with More Of Same, gargled salt water, took allergy meds, went to work, sinuses filling up every hour...
Along about 1400, I could no longer breathe through my nose. Not even a little. And I was dizzy. By 1600, I was staying in my chair as much as possible and getting more and more short-tempered. Left, shivering, a tad after 1830, about par. Ran the vents on recirc, no cooling, in a car that'd sat out in the sun all day and I was still feeling a bit chilly.
I'm home now, enjoying tea, soup, toast and kale/orzo salad. I'm gonna take a bath and go to bed.
Tomorrow's blogging may be late.

I hope you feel better soon.
Sounds like whatever ruined April for me. Good luck.
Horseradish (the sharper the taste the better--Gold's is pretty good at sinus clearing), menthol up your nose, and get Doc in a Box to prescribe you an antibiotic first thing in the morning. And hope you don't mind if I pester Invisible Friend about you.
Interestingly, Sat & Sun brekky included horseradish. My temp is going up and down now -- no fun.
You are still the Hostess with the Mostest.
Get well soon!
Take your time and get plenty of rest...as much sleep as you can get. I personally find that staying as horizontal as possible (that's as much possible consonant with keeping your sinuses drained!) and sleeping 'round the clock for a day really helps.
We'll still be here when you return to the keyboard. Here's hoping you feel better soon.
Get better soon Lady, being sick sucks!
Your "allergies" sound an awful lot like mine. You're scarin' me, woman.
I'm a scary person.
:)
Blame it on Dayton!
I too have had the spring crunge and I too associated it with my allergies. Allergies don't give you 102+ fevers though. I'm on the mend after a throat culture indicated a course of leeches, er antibiotics would do the trick You too shall be well again. It's the right now that sucks.
What happens in Dayton stays in Dayton.
