This is your regular reminder that nobody "has it coming," unless what's coming is a fair trial and an honest verdict. Satisfying as tales of vigilante justice or the workings of Fate may be, the real world is rarely that simple. Sometimes, a bad thing is about to happen and the only way to stop it is immediate, violent action -- but don't mistake that for justice; it's simply a choice aimed at the least-bad solution.
There are some loathsome people out there, but you can't fix it by becoming loathsome yourself.

I'll accept "situational loathsomeness" when required.
And thus take the first step into moral depravity. Well, it's a choice.
From the LOTR: “Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."
Doesn't mean I have to descend deeper into the morass, just be prepared to respond in kind to the affront presented.
I'd advise great caution when venturing into the tooth- and eye-swapping business. Eventually everyone is blind and toothless, and that's not justice.
