Politics Continues To Make Headlines

I continue to be a libertarian.  "I do not ignore headlines, Mandrake -- but I do deny they are of essence."  Fights over the fiddlin' details of entitlement programs seem to be the best the "two" parties can muster.  Color me unimpressed.  Color Adam Smith unimpressed.

536 years for the Roman Republic.  449 years for the Roman Empire, or 1426 depending on how you score it.  Hell, we're hardly even started.  For "bread," read "popcorn."  The circus is built right in.

If we grab some better gun laws and a mulish Supreme Court, that'll be a good thing.  Holding on to them when the next act takes center stage?  Even better.

Do you know why I drink only distilled water, or rainwater, and only pure-grain alcohol?

Following politics in the news will do that to you.

We won some breathing room thanks to the Nov. election.

The best news is that there is serious momentum building for individual gun rights. Minorities are now twice as much more receptive to gun rights than 20 years earlier.

If Kennedy retires after Goresuch retires as speculated, carry outside the home will be ruled constitutional.

The biggest danger to freedom now from future Progressive administrations will be declaring more and more 'crimes' to make people denied gun rights.

I fully expect it to get to the point in the future that a screaming match with someone at work will be considered grounds for losing 2A rights.

Things are currently looking good. The enemy will never stop in their quest to return us to tyranny.

Public opinion is on our side and getting stronger...
