I just saw an exhibit of Mayan culture and artifacts at the Royal Ontario Museum on Thursday, so yes, I do know where they are.
There was a nice display that showed that the magic date of 12-22-2012 isn't the end of their calendar, it's just when they flip it over to a new page. (A page is approximately 394 years.) Their calendars were engraved on large stones however, so flipping one over was inviting disaster anyway.
