I spent a couple of hours fighting with Firefox and my anti-virus software this morning. Lots of crashing. Time to replace the anitivirus, I think -- it's getting bad reviews. What do you use?

McAffe. Any one who hates the government as much as him is ok in my book
Avast free version. It can be a little annoying at times buy seems to work OK.
Symantec. McAffe gives me the heebie jeebies and Avast let a couple virii through about 6-8 years ago. Yes, I've had this grudge since it was a pup delivered in a 1937 Snit-Heeney.
Norton 360
ESET. Used it for several years now. works without any problems.
Cylance but on a company-wide contract that covers home equipment.
Microsoft's built in. Using antivirus is like inviting some Hell's Angels to live in your house to prevent break-ins. Antivirus programs are horrible about respecting the OS's APIs and doing all sorts of unsupported stuff. Strip it off and go without.
He hasn't been part of the company for many years.
Bitdefender, as it originally came with my router, works well and covers all of our devices. Not free, but reasonable.
I've been using Trend Micro for years. It allows you to install on multiple computers.
I just use the base windows security. it seems to work as well as anything I'd pay for...
Mostly use the Brave browser these days, although it doesn't play well with Blogger.
Last time I needed an anti-virus I used Kaspersky. It worked, but then it hung around and became very annoying, so I got rid of it. Next time I'll use Malwarebytes. All the commercial products like Norton, Semantec and McAfee are crap. But then I feel the same way about Windows, so maybe it's just me.
Bitdefender. Lightweight (doesn't slow the system down). Seems to score pretty high on accuracy tests. Hasn't broken windows on me in 3 years (unlike avast and mcafee).
