All this excitement from Washington, DC and we're only 64 days in. Three years and a little under ten months to go. The only way through it is forward.
I keep thinking about the story my mother told, of when she was in the hospital delivering me or my brother. Back then, they still had wards, rows of beds with heavy curtains that could be drawn between them for a bare minimum of privacy. Sound still traveled. Somewhere in the maternity ward, a young woman was beginning labor with her husband beside the bed, alternating between complaining bitterly to him, "You did this to me! You!" and sobbing. Yes and no; they did it together, and presumably the result was around for a long, long time.
And now here we are.

"Onward", yes. We can only hope for "forward" as opposed to the alternative. ;-)
Ironically, if MAGA could bring themselves to be honest, they'd be doing better.
Toxic positivism is a thing that tends to infect parties in power- all over the world, over all spectrums, and throughout history. As long as nobody is saying anything bad, then everything must be good- and don't you dare bring up any of those negative waves Moriarity!
It's one of those human quirks that makes no sense, doesn't work, never has worked, but we do it anyway.
Trump and his circle of sycophants are at a Soviet level of Pretend Things Are Fine, Or Else! Which means they won't work to fix obvious problems until the graphite hits the ground... and will deny that as long as possible.
The non-sense coming out of the White House is staggering. Nothing but meaningless word salad. No one is in charge it seems. And KL is spewing so much garbage during press briefings that there’s no reason for the media to cover them anymore. The road to nowhere.
