But, of course, Tam does. I needed to grab a couple of bottled of water from the garage and I'm running warm enough that a quick trip in whatever it is out there, 32°F more or less, wasn't going to make things worse.
So I grabbed a key and headed out, remarking loudly, "I'm just going outside, and may be some time."
She replied, "Don't say that!"

Well, I laughed.
(I once used that line on campus, in midwinter, when our heating plant was down, but I think I changed "outside" to "into the lab")

I didn't recognize the quote, but only needed to read as far as "Scott's Diary" to get the context.
One of the reasons I like stopping by here and over at Tam's is that you folks cause me to stretch my mind and discuss items that don't revolve around the trivialities of current celebrity culture.
