That was interesting: four hours of chills, three hours of fever, spiking early and tapering off. Fell asleep shortly after my earlier post and managed a light doze for another couple of hours.
Won't claim to be 100% now but I feel way better than I'd feared. This is good, as I have a long list of things to do at work.
Update: 7:40 a.m. Nope. Joint pains, fatigue and temperature are back. Grrr.
