Re the news, most days I feel like the woman at the end of The Blair Witch Project: afraid to open my eyes, afraid to close them. And then yesterday I didn't watch closely enough and got blindsided by tropical storm Mindy. No damage (that I can see, still haven't been out the front door), but still it was a jarring after-dinner surprise.
Think I'll go for a bike ride in a minute.
