Atlas Hoists A Film Camera?

Found at Joe's: the trailer for Atlas Shrugged. Holy cow, it looks like they're really doing it. I have to admit, I laughed out loud when I saw the release date. Oh, yeah. Hollywood: they don't all lean left, you know. From what I see in the trailer, some of 'em may've bent over backwards to do this one properly.

...Oh, and for those muttering, "...You could never do that entire book as one movies...," this is only Part One. Hey, it worked for The Lord Of The Rings, didn't it?

Some folks are gonna be finding out who John Galt might be, by and by.

I'm not sure how much of Hollywood Hollywood, if I may be allowed a Whoopie-ism, is really involved with this...
OTOH, have you read of the production of We The Living under Mussolini?

I knew it was done, though I'm not sure how much il Douche had to do with it.

Apparently, Bennie the Moose and his minions picked up on "Commies are bad", and missed the whole "And so are other dictators"...

Looks good. Hope those actors got paid up front, though. Got a funny feeling that there won't be too many jobs offered to them when this hits the screen.

The release date should be April 18 for this year. The IRS moved it back three days to allow extra time because they had to revise and re-release the Schedule A form.

It's only part one so if it meets muster we realy need to suport this at the Boxoffice. To get the other two made.

Part III will be ninety minutes of a guy talking into a radio mic. ;)

Y'know, I'm actually okay with that.

That's the neat thing about movies; you can do more than one thing at a time.

I'd say: Establish the talk, then overlay suitable images... could be really powerful if done "Citizen Kane" style.

I'm glad it's "based" on the book--if Rand had been able to write the script the movie would have 15 parts.
