The Wikipedia article doesn't give much insight into Ms. Volkow. The Wiki article on NIDA is dense, in more ways than one. First page of Google News about NIDA has only stories about a missing teenager. Huhn, indeed.
I don't know her politics, but I know that she accepted a position where she is required by law to lie if the science doesn't turn out to match Congresses' preconceptions.
