Bayh-Bayh, Evan

He said it. He truely did; in re partisanship and gridl(hurrah!)lock in Washinton, the pixieish outgoing Senator huffed, "It's testosterone poisoning; it's not our fault."

Yes, Evan says (male) biology is destiny and he appears to believe masculinity is regrettable. Did he pick up the wrong prescription?

That's it; I'm officially proposing repeal of the 19th Amendment. Increasingly, it is obvious that you poor boys aren't strong enough to stand up for yourselves when us wimmenfolk can vote.

Well, nobody ever said he was smart. They just said his name was Bayh.

I'll sign that petition for repeal of the 19th!

Look what it got us. Women outnumber men because they live longer yet they merit "minority" consideration. What's with that?

And, they live longer because they work us to death and make it a welcome escape from their incessant carping about toilet seats and beer-drinking behavior.

Monarchy and/or authoritarian dictatorship are beginning to appeal as superior forms of government to a republic.

Look at the media trying to make excuses for him! Can't bring his family to Washington? Umm, Evan's kids have known no home but D.C.

Evan, citing your dad? Come now. Your dad was in when both the Republicans under Nixon and Ford and the Dems were actively seeking to destroy this country.

What you don't like now Evan is the Chicago flavor of today's D.C. It is a fist in your mouth and you are a scared little girl.

Welcome to the United States of Chicago, Evan.

Why not go the other way and deny men the right to vote? If women have to conform attire to avoid sparking male hormonal lust/range, etc., then obviously the poor dears cannot be trusted to make a wise decision. On anything.

So, he;'s sating that he can't think straight around Nancy Pelosi?

I think you Hoosiers ought to ask for your money back... (And, Ghu, don't you wish that was an option?)

WV: mandin. Lewis and Clark spent a very pleasant winter with them.

Ed: Seat? Put the effin' lid down!

I don't care one way or 'tother about beer-drinking, though I wouldn't countenance drunkenness; but that, one solves by expulsion, not nagging.

Or, wait a minute, is he saying that Democrats don't have any...?

Why limit repeal to only the 19th Amendment? The 16th, 17th, and the 26th have each done as much and possibly more to harm the People and society as the 19th.

And even there, the problem is less with women as a class but women as an age group. The "follies of youth" are often remarked on - and are even more influential in this age of no education.

If we must have a Constitutional age qualification for voting, place it at one of the historical ages, either 30 or 60. Either would give voters a little time to discover the real world before they influence it.

"Vultu an natura sis, multum interest" is still true. But the aged are better at discerning the appearance from the reality.

Or require a hitch of military service as a prerequisite to the franchise.

(And make it possible for fat old bastards like me to serve a hitch so we could get our franchise back. No grandfathering!)

(Sorry, dear, forgot where I was for a moment. Please feel free to sanitize that last sentence. Mea culpa.)

Actually I do put the lid down. My nagging mother instilled that habit. Plus it keeps dogs from drinking out of the loo. Surprisingly I find it up when we have women visitors in the house!

The issue your original post so brilliantly highlights, however,is the feminization of society in general and America in particular. Witness the outrage, sheer outrage I say, regarding the Canadian women's hockey team cigar-smoking/beer drinking celebration...
