Shootin' Buddy
If you look at the south wall of the actual pit you will notice 'pock' marks.
I know because I helped put 'em there with a 20mm Lathi about 20 some years ago. The gun belonged to a buddy of mine and we had a friend who was on the Sheriff's dept who got us permission to shoot it there. We didn't even know if it would work.
It did.
Blew whole chunks of that stone face into the water below.
I have pictures somewhere.
