I've never been comfortable with The Holiday Season and this year's got some extra spin on it. It'd be very dull reading (trust me, I've burned breakfast twice trying to make it not be), so this is just to assure readers that I haven't burnt any bridges and dived into the Tiber in full armor. (A free "ain't you educated" pat on the back to whoever gets that reference).

I am thinking of you during the season. Heck, I am thinking good thoughts you way most of the time.

Until you have called your sister to touch off the bed, you have not touched bottom, allusively.

"So he spake, and speaking sheathed
The good sword by his side,
And with his harness on his back,
Plunged headlong in the tide."

You mean that one? Or the other one?

...And there we have two good knights (or at least a pleasant evening) who've won their badges!

Io Turk, is that an Alexander Pope translation? Kinda got his humpback snarky lilt to it.

Never mind...

Macaulay.

We have one of the many David "Oaths" in our little museum up here.

BTW, Teach, thank you! --Think good thoughts about Tam, too, since while I was self-pityin' about havin' old shoes, she was havin' bad tires. Real bad. At freeway speeds!
