Two key members of Congress have developed legislation that seeks to address some of the most serious concerns about the high court majority's decision to reject more than one hundred years of law and precedent in order to give dramatic new political power to already-powerful corporations -- along with other groups that have fewer resources and less ability to influence the elections, such as labor unions.[Emphasis mine] Will you be surprised if I tell you that one of those "key members" is that stomach-turning worshipper of Leviathan, Chucky Schumer? Quite the "member" he is, too.
An' gee, those pore, powerless labor unions...like UAW, or the Administration's bestest buds evar in SEIU. Oh, heavens to Betsy-wetsy, how will they manage to get word out? I dang near swallowed my chewin' gum; or I would have if I was chewing any.
There isn't enough political speech; anything that gets more of it out there, I'm in favor of.

I'm still laughing at the statement that labor unions have fewer resources and less ability to influence elections. How does anyone say that with a straight face?
What really set the idiots off was the CEO's letter to Schumer, al, et ux.
"Don't come begging for money because the contribution window is locked," said the CEO's of 25 of our largest corporations.
The Dimocrats took it personally, and SHTF! "We ain't gunna have no more campaign money, we be too broke to campaign" has been the whine of the day ever since.

I was dewy-eyed and wet-behind-the-ears when I attended my USPostal Service orientation not a month after my 20th birthday. At one point, all the management people left the room and a big bunch of APWU goons came into the room and told was how totally ossum the union was and how very, very unwise it would be for us not to sign on. I was green enough to not recognize for years the implied menace of that occasion, and the last 5 years I was with the USPS, I was trying desperately to get out of the APWU. Insidious. As far as I'm concerned, unions can die screaming. They should go the way of the buggy whip industry. Srsly.
And they can die screaming, while they're at it.
Did I mention I'd like them to die screaming?
