So I must head to the shower. Huck-the-cat has a date with the vet (yes, that, and before he starts to spray) and I need to be there in a bit over an hour.
He's vexed with me for taking his food away last night; this morning, he tried to eat the feathers from a cat-toy and spent a little time gnawing on his own tail.

Hope huck takes it better that a himalayan we had. Had to send it down the road as it got plain vicious after the mood alteration was performed.
Hope yours handles it better.
Mine have always handled it just fine. He won't need those things anyway. Without them, he can just be a fat and sassy house cat.
Bob was neutered when we got him--a blessing. It's tough taking them in, but better than spraying! Good luck to Huck!
All I can say is: Prepare for the sulk to end all sulks.
Either that or he'll wonder why he's sore, but otherwise won't know the difference.
You can't spell "crapshoot" without "cat".
And you think he's vexed now? Just wait!
Good that you are neutering the cat...way too many strays out there.
He's back and seems in fine fettle. Thinks he's starving, though.
