     Also, cats are begging me for scraps of lamb bacon.

Yes, lamb bacon can be kosher if prepared under kosher supervision :) Or not. I mean, it came from a lamb, not a pig, and lamb is kosher, so...

Now who can say frittering my days away on the internet isn't educational? Lamb bacon. "I did not know that" (in my best Johnny Carson voice).
I swore off of turkey bacon 20 years back because if cooked to anything approaching the crispiness of the original article turkey bacon resembled appropriately colored and shaped styrene and was better suited for display outside of Japanese restaurants.
