Cats are nature's natural Democrats. Everything will be fine as long as you do what they say and give them everything they want. If you fail in that, they pee on your pillow and shred your furniture.
Better yet pin some pips on Rannie Wu's collar. Based on her seniority I see nothing wrong with a field commission. And Career Ship's Sergeant Huck can either salute or lose a few stripes.
After a bit of further thought (and some reading inspired by the thought) I'm thinking that breveting Rannie to 2nd Lt. might not be the best move for harmony at Roseholme.
It would only be a matter of time before there was friction, a swipe of a paw, and poor Huck would collect a 9080.

Used to be prison convicts wore stripes, too.

Don't call him sir, he sleeps for a living!
A fine looking cat indeed and he does seem to exude that attitude that he IS in charge.

Um, does he put in 12.5 hour days to keep YOU in kibble?
Didn't think so.
Just salute him every time you pass. Or at least a good belly rub.
