Etymology Unleashed!

Y'know why we call that great big, whiskery aquatic mammal a "walrus?"  'Cos they went broke trying to sell bouquets, so "florist" was right out!

Nope, even knowing the etymology of all the words, I still don't get it :-(

You have to mumble both words in a Midwestern American accent, in which "Wall-rus" and "Floor-rus" sound similar.

We jhould all be very, very grateful that the Ceilingrus lost the evolutionary contest very early on.
