...Simply shocked that people who loathe Western Civilization are ungrateful when the Crown throws them a bone.
They (actually, Scotland's government and if only I had another couple of hours to go sort that out) sent convicted mass-murderer Abdel Basset al-Megrahi back home, freeing an unrepentant bloody-handed killer on the excuse his prostate cancer is fatal. Geez, too bad; so was buying a plane ticket the last time he was on the loose. A bum prostate means he won't use his remaining time and hero status to do more harm?
Oh, but now? Now the UK's Foreign Secretary scolds, "How the Libyan government handles itself in the next few days will be very significant in the way the world views Libya's re-entry into the civilized community of nations."
I'm sure they'll find his stern words daunting. Riiiiight.

This is only one more in a long parade of outrageous over this mess, not least of which is just how outrageous it is that he's alive to GET cancer. And that the whole sordid affair was allowed to be obfuscated, concealing what it was -- an act of war -- and that the Libyan government was allowed to skate for its part in it.
Just a reminder, I guess, that the '93 Trade Center bombing wasn't the first such, sidestepped by a pussillanimous government afraid to grasp the nettle.

Peace in our time!
Put one od my 45's between his eyes, and let me pull the trigger.
My 2 cents worth
My uncle died of cancer a couple of years ago. He was a far more devoutly religious man than I imagine this guy to be, and yet he managed to confine himself to praying a lot and building houses for the poor. Pardon me if my well of compassion has run dry.
They should have flow the guy to Lybia and let him go. Just skipped the landing part.
I've already expressed my deep resentment that my Scots heritage is being mutilated by the current of group of weenies in power. (The former) Great Britain is such a tragic shadow of itself. And Scotland? To gain devolution ... and do something like this? Makes you wonder where all those Glaswegians went.
I'm ashamed.
What a rotten thing to happen to prostate cancer.
Yahbut, just think how much the British health system has saved the poor taxpayers by shipping him off for his final care.
Personally, I like Mad Saint Jack's idea (in a comment here).
The British Govt. seems mainly concerned about granting special rights rights and privileges to anybody they see as a "minority", either culturally or racially. The Brit government, along with rules set by the EC, are eventually going to make running the UK impossible (I don't understand the EC. Rules that apply and work in Germany may not be suitable for France, but hell, enforce'em anyway!)
