Sherlock Holmes: The Case Of The Curious Herb

"Once you have eliminated in your hat, Watson, you cannot put it back on. At least not without consequences. Quickly, now!"

Some people dream in Technicolor. Me, I get flickering B&W films with Ring Lardner dialog.

Why do I doubt that Doyle ever wrote that? But, the important thing is that he could have!

The game being afoot, one should use caution where one steps.

Maybe Doyle via P.J. O'Rourke.

"However did you identify the perpetrator of this deed, Holmes?"

"Alimentary, my dear Watson. Alimentary."

It sounds like I have a hole in my reading. I'll see if I can get my hands on any of his work, if the library has some. With the heavy weight of the world at large, I can stand a good laugh, and I've re-read my P.J. O'Rourke and Tom Robbins to death.

If watson had eliminated a hat, he would certainly have larger problems than an uncovered head.

Mts1, if you have never had the pleasure of checking out The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, you indeed have some wonderful hours of reading ahead. Do yourself a favor, and do it slowly... for once you've finished them, you'll wish there were more...
