Finished up a project for which I had been preparing pieces for months: a shelf over the window seat! It will hold some of my typewriter collection. Further details and more photos at Retrotechnologist.
Tools used are on the seat: level, pencil, awl, hand drill, Yankee driver. Just about the most time-consuming part was setting up the guide for cutting the board squarely to length.

Ooo... nice job ! I love those wrought iron ? antique ? angle brackets ! If new, where can I get some of those ?
WV: reharp - what you do when the cat breaks more than just the bulb.
DV: go to Retrotechnologist, supplier (Lee Valley) is linked there. Not cheap -- but worth it. They have a pretty full line of such items, as do Van Dykes Restorers.
