Indy's annual agricultural human sacrifice is underway; already, one FFA member has been hit by a car and another's gone missing.
They're pretty good young folks but I'm startin' to wonder if anyone's keepin' an eye on them.
Here's hoping they can avoid a repeat of last year.

I'm not surprised about the girl being hit by a car, the way people are driving these days. Seems like I take my life in my hands every time I go downtown. Although in all fairness, most pedestrians don't pay any attention to what they're doing, either; it's amazing more of them don't get run down.
I hope they find the young man safe.
Nathan,
Thanks to the invention of the cell phone and the Walkman/iPod, Darwin has been returned to our lives.
"Darwin has been returned to our lives."
So, women will want to have sex with men who can multi-task and not be run over?
I better get to practicing!
Shootin' Buddy
I'm always the last to know :-D
Hmm. Cage drivers texting while iPoding vs. Walkers texting while iPoding. Two separate Species vying for Extinction or the same Species fighting to earn their Darwins? Think there's a Multimillion-Dollar Stimulus Grant to study this "Pressing" issue. But they'll just find a way to make an Airbag Vest, then it'll be required, then it'll be licensed and regulated under a New Agency......
Did anyone else say "Hmmm" when they saw that the missing kid is from Afghanistan?
Joanna, I said, "Wonder if he's skipped out? Bet he doesn't want to go back." But I'm like that; I have trouble trying to imagine preferring goats and poppies to hot dogs and fifty-'leven channels of sound and fury.
