Did get a visit from a shooty pal in the afternoon. She and Tam and I all went to Taste, a very fine place for wondrous food. It's what happens when a couple of very high-end chefs find themselves with some spare cash and the hankering to prove it really is about the food. Um, it is.
...And on the way home, stopped at this place:
Where we enjoyed Indiana Honey-Crisp apples and apple cider! --And then noticed this happy news: H.O.G. R.O.A.S.T. Barbecue: home-made sauce, home made bread. Dished out by the farmer that raised it. Please don't let the little piggie have been sacrificed in vain: show up. Eat. Eat!

The cider was awesome. Just think what the pig will be like. . .
I am so there...
Try the bread pudding at Taste.
It's um...
Um...
Words fail me. It's very, very good.
Damn it, you've made my stomach start growling. Apple cider and BBQ are two of my favorite things.
This place looks great. I may have to take a trip down there this weekend for some BBQ roast beast.
Hi there! Thanks for linking to us! Keep us posted on what you want to see in the market and on the blog.
And great blog yourself!

How nice of you to comment! Thanks, Jennifer. So far, I'm delighted with the fine things I've found at the market.
Rob, it's a very neat place. In addition to the seasonal produce (and more -- lawsy, they've even got sorghum!), there's a vast array of cookbooks in the former front office area. Tam and I have high hopes for the hog roast.
(And Turk? We had the bread pudding, one serving split three ways. It's still heavenly!)
Hog roast?
*gulp*
I so WISH I could be there.
*slobber*
What time do you all want to go??
Shooting before?
Shooting before -- T and K are doin' the Iggle Crick thing and I plan to as well, about tenish. If you'll b there we can go from there. (I think they wanna run by Beech Grove directly after; I might just head over to Where The Hog Are an' get a head start. Plus I need to see what's new at the stores....)
I just woke up, will get the coffee IV going and see you at the Creek around 10. I'm for getting a jump on the porcine lunch myself.
